YOUNG ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT

Using a proven long term athlete development model Velocity Sports Performance applies the components of developing speed, agility, strength and power in an age appropriate way.

Sessions are shorter for younger children and the foundation is laid down with increasing techniques, athletic optimization and improvement as they get older.

BENEFITS OF YOUTH TRAINING

GRADES 3 – 5
Developing these skills are vital in establishing a child’s athletic foundation for improved performance, injury prevention, and long-term enjoyment of sports participation

GRADES 6 – 8
Proper movement techniques with increased force production lead to maximized long term potential. As athletes naturally increase in height, weight, strength and competitiveness, the need for improved joint and muscle integrity is vital for reducing the chance of injury.

GRADES 9 – 12
During the Competitive Program, athletes focus on repeated application of athleticism to create mastery. Advanced combinations of movement skill training and specific strength development give athelets an advantage in competition.
